Beautiful botanical embroidery motifs and charming sewing projects by popular Japanese Instagram artist Yula, for both beginners and experienced embroiderers.
Dive into the creative world of beloved embroidery artist Yula! Showcased here for the first time in English, Yula’s botanical embroidery is as charming as it is fun to create. Sewers both new and experienced will enjoy a unique set of motifs ranging from simple leaf designs to complex floral wreaths. In sections that Yula calls “prescriptions,” clear, step-by-step instructions will guide readers through making their very own Yula creations. There are four prescription categories:
I. Embroidery to Cherish—designs for embroidery hoops to hang up and enjoy.
II. Embroidery to Keep Close—designs for tote bags of all sizes and drawstring pouches to keep your personal items close.
III. Embroidery for Quiet Time—designs for pincushions, mini drawstring bags, glasses cases, and foldable pouches to keep cherished items in.
IV. Wearable Embroidery—designs to fit on tiny brooches.
More than a book of patterns, Embroidering the Magic of Plants is a self-contained class in embroidery. Yula includes tools, tips, and instructions—such as basic sewing lessons, guides on complex stitch types, measuring and cutting, and more. This delightful book will bring the fresh, inviting feeling of lush gardens and delicate florals into every crafter’s home.
